Accessibility
Statement.
Working toward WCAG 2.2 AA across the website. Operational accessibility on selected silos — Jebel Jais drive-up, Al Marjan beach resorts, balloon flights with operator pre-approval. Mobility, dietary, language accommodations welcome at booking.
WCAG 2.2 AA target.
Buggy Ride Dubai is working toward WCAG 2.2 AA compliance across the public website. Currently in scope: keyboard navigation across the primary booking flows, semantic HTML structure for screen readers, alt text on all functional images, color-contrast ratios meeting AA on the brand palette, focus indicators on interactive elements.
Out of scope today: pixel-perfect AA compliance across every page, full audit by a third-party accessibility firm. We've not paid for an external audit yet — claiming AA-certified status would be inaccurate. The roadmap includes scheduling an audit in the next 12 months and publishing the audit findings + remediation plan.
Issues spotted while using the site: please report via WhatsApp +971 52 440 9525 with the page URL and the issue description, or email [email protected]. Responses within 5 working days; remediation prioritization depends on severity and scope.
What's possible on each silo.
Hot air balloon: the basket has no seats — passengers stand for the 60-minute flight. Mobility-restricted guests should consult with the operator before booking; the standing requirement and basket-edge boarding are the two physical demands. Guide-dog assistance is welcome where the airline equivalent rules apply.
Dune buggy and quad: self-drive sessions require comfort with throttle and steering controls. The vehicles have automatic transmission, no manual gearbox. Riders with limited grip strength or limb mobility should consult with the operator — passenger seat in the 2-seater buggies is feasible for guests not driving themselves.
Desert safari: the 4×4 dune-bashing portion involves repeated steep climbs and descents — guests prone to motion sickness should mention at booking, where a slower-paced route option may apply. The camp portion is wheelchair-accessible across the seating areas.
Hotel pickup: standard pickup vehicles are SUV/van-class. Wheelchair-accessible vehicle (WAV) pickup available with 48 hours' advance notice; book through Dubai's accessible-transport providers and the operator coordinates timing.
Inclusive practice, accommodations.
Dietary preferences accommodated across BBQ camps: vegetarian, vegan, halal-certified, gluten-free, dairy-free, common allergies (nuts, shellfish, eggs). Mention at booking; the camp kitchen prepares the right plates rather than improvising on the day. Severe-allergy guests should flag separately to allow extra preparation.
Language accommodations: guides and drivers across English, Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, Tagalog reliably; Russian, Mandarin, French, German rotating availability. Mention preferred language at booking and the team matches a guide where shifts allow.
Religious observance: prayer breaks accommodated on AD/RAK longer expeditions (Liwa, Empty Quarter, multi-day routes). Prayer rugs available on request; prayer-time pauses build into the schedule for multi-day overnights.
