What the 15-Minute ride is for.
Fifteen minutes is the entry slot at Buggy Ride Dubai. It is the only duration we sell as a pure taster — meant for cruise-ship guests, layover travellers, and tight-schedule couples who want to feel a real dune buggy on real Lahbab sand without booking a half-day excursion. The 15-minute slot is exclusive to our 2-Seater Dune Buggy 1000cc; the higher-spec turbo and Can-Am vehicles only run from 30 minutes upward because their warm-up routine and dune lines need a longer window to be enjoyed responsibly.
Total time on site is around 60 minutes (briefing + helmet fit + 15 min ride + photos). Hotel pickup is not included on the 15-minute slot — guests meet our team at the Lahbab desert camp, roughly 40 minutes south-east of Downtown Dubai. If you want hotel pickup, jump to the 1-hour or 2-hour rides instead.

Is the 15-Minute the right slot for you?
You are in Dubai for less than 24 hours. Cruise stop, long airport transit, conference morning free — the 15-minute taster is the smallest dune-buggy commitment we offer. You can be back in Downtown in under three hours including the drive each way.
You are not sure dune buggying is for you. Some guests want to test a buggy before booking the family on a longer slot. Fifteen minutes is enough to know whether you love the throttle response and the bumps, or whether you would rather book a desert safari with a professional driver instead.
You are pairing it with another activity. Camel ride, sandboarding, BBQ — the 15-minute slot drops cleanly into a half-day desert programme without dominating the schedule.

Rental agreement summary
- Dune buggies are operated only on approved sandy/desert areas — never on public roads or streets.
- Guests must follow guide instructions and the safety briefing at all times.
- Damage from misuse, rollover, collision, off-route driving, or late return may be chargeable per the rental agreement.
- Drivers must be 18+ with a valid passport ID. Passengers must be 12+ with a guardian.
- Closed shoes required. No flip-flops or open sandals (loaner pairs available at the camp).
- Safety gear (helmet, goggles, gloves) and guided briefing are included on every ride.

Is 15 minutes enough for a real dune ride?
Fifteen minutes is enough for a guided lap on Lahbab's introductory red dunes plus one short photo stop. It is not enough for the steeper ridges of Big Red, the Fossil Rock detour, or a multi-photo session — for those you want at least the 1-hour slot.
Why is only one buggy available on 15 minutes?
The 2-Seater Dune Buggy 1000cc is our friendliest and most forgiving vehicle. Higher-spec turbo and Can-Am buggies need a longer warm-up and a longer dune line to be enjoyed responsibly, so we only run them from 30 minutes upward.
Does the 15-minute slot include hotel pickup?
No — the 15-minute taster meets at our Lahbab desert camp, around 40 minutes south-east of Downtown Dubai. Hotel pickup is included on the 1-hour and 2-hour slots.
Can two of us share the 15-minute ride?
Yes. The 2-Seater Dune Buggy 1000cc takes one driver (18+) and one passenger (12+). The price is per buggy, not per person — both seats are included in AED 300.
How much driving experience do I need?
None. The transmission is fully automatic, the throttle is gas-and-go, and a lead guide rides ahead at your comfortable pace. Our briefing covers everything in 15 minutes — line choice, body position, dune cresting basics.
Can I upgrade to 30 minutes on the day?
Yes if a buggy is free. We recommend booking the 30-minute or 1-hour slot upfront on busy weekends — the camp can sell out by mid-morning.
