What the 2-Hour ride is for.
Two hours is the longest single-block self-drive slot we run. It is the slot for guests who want a real desert outing — not a taster — and who are happy to commit a full half-day to it. Free hotel pickup and drop-off across Dubai is included.
The 2-hour ride opens up dune lines that the shorter slots cannot reach: a deeper Lahbab loop, the upper sections of Big Red on a turbo or Can-Am, and a Fossil Rock detour on the flagship X3 RS Turbo RR. Total programme time is around 5 hours door-to-door including pickup and drop-off.

Is the 2-Hour the right slot for you?
Experienced or repeat riders. If you have done a 1-hour slot before and want more, the 2-hour adds a deeper loop, harder lines, and longer photo windows.
Power buggy enthusiasts. The flagship Can-Am X3 RS Turbo RR and the 4-Seater X3 RS are most-rewarding on the 2-hour slot. Anything shorter and you barely warm the chassis up.
Photographers and content creators. Two hours gives the guide time to position you on ridges for golden-hour shots, drop a drone, and re-shoot if the first run does not land.

Rental agreement summary
- Dune buggies are operated only on approved sandy/desert areas — never on public roads or streets.
- Guests must follow guide instructions and the safety briefing at all times.
- Damage from misuse, rollover, collision, off-route driving, or late return may be chargeable per the rental agreement.
- Drivers must be 18+ with a valid passport ID. Passengers must be 12+ with a guardian.
- Closed shoes required. No flip-flops or open sandals (loaner pairs available at the camp).
- Safety gear (helmet, goggles, gloves) and guided briefing are included on every ride.

How does the 2-hour ride differ from the 1-hour?
The 2-hour adds a deeper Lahbab loop, optional Big Red ridge work on Can-Am or turbo buggies, and an optional Fossil Rock detour on the flagship X3 RS. Photo time is roughly doubled.
Can I really do Fossil Rock on a 2-hour ride?
Yes — the Fossil Rock detour is offered on the flagship 2-Seater Can-Am X3 RS Turbo RR (AED 4,200) within the 2-hour slot, weather permitting. Confirm with the team on WhatsApp before the day; the route is closed in heavy heat.
Is the 2-hour too long for a first-timer?
It is doable but not what we recommend. First-time riders usually start with the 1-hour and extend to the 2-hour on a return visit. If you are confident on a quad or jet ski, the 2-hour is fine.
Is hotel pickup included?
Yes. Free pickup and drop-off across Dubai is included on every 2-hour booking — no surcharge.
Which buggy is the best 2-hour ride?
The 2-Seater Can-Am Maverick X3 (AED 2,800) is the most-booked 2-hour pairing. Power-focused riders default to the X3 RS Turbo RR (AED 4,200). The 1000cc Turbo (AED 2,200) is the value pick.
Can I share one 4-seater for 2 hours with the family?
Yes. The 4-Seater Dune Buggy 1000cc (AED 2,200) takes two adults and two 12+ passengers for the full 2-hour slot in one buggy.
How long is the door-to-door programme?
Around 5 hours total — hotel pickup, 40-minute drive to Lahbab, briefing and helmet fit, the 2-hour ride with photo stops, debrief, and drop-off.
Is there a longer slot than 2 hours?
For full-day or multi-day private bookings, contact the team on WhatsApp. A 3-hour or sunrise-to-mid-morning slot can be arranged at private-booking rates.
